Melrose Restaurant at its heart is a cherished seaside restaurant that has been part of Brighton seafront for over 50 years. Opened by Tony and Mary Shiarlis in 1968 this welcoming family run restaurant offers seafood, fish and grilled meats with relaxing sea views for families, friends, locals and daytrippers.
Situated opposite Brighton’s iconic West Pier and now the i360, diners can enjoy the wonderful sea view with simply prepared British fish and shellfish and fabulous wines at great value for money.
``I visited this restaurant several times when I first moved to Brighton, during the summer, you can enjoy the sunshine whilst eating some delicious fish. The waiters are very friendly and the food is consistently good and better value than in the lanes. I recommend the Dover Sole for £18.50. The Chablis is very good too! ``

``Another wonderful meal. Dressed crab, as delicious as always. Plaice, lovely and fresh with perfectly, light batter. And, the homemade creme caramel is to die for! ``
